The tag team of lang range attackers Ishida and Abarai Renji face off against Espada Syazel Aporro. Too bad by the end of the episode, neither of them are in shape to continue the fight.

Meanwhile Nel continues to protect both Ichigo and Inoue from the clutches of Nnoitra Jiruga.

It is revealed in this issue that both Ne and Nnoitra have been battling for years now, before Nnoitra got the upperhand causing Nel's regression into childhood.
