Altair is now on the PSP

Woo hoo. Is it just me or is everybody psyched to play Assassin's Creed on the PSP?

It goes without saying that this is a real contender for God of War's position as the top dog in adventure/ hack and slash games. Not only are we treated to the diverse ways of assassinating people, we are also treated to a hacking good time. There are lots of ways to kill a target here (Ala Hitman) plus Altair looks pretty bad ass. And the kicker? It's out on the PSP now. It's perfect for us poverty ridden gamers and cheap-ass gamers that can't afford the PS3 or the Xbox 360. In short, I'm getting this tomorrow.

PSP Good to GO

(From CBR)

The worst kept secret of this year's E3 was confirmed by Sony, and they did give us more details about the next iteration of their handheld platform. It's coming out on October 1, 2009 and will retail for $249. The screen is slightly smaller than previous versions (3.8in as opposed to 4.3). The UMD is gone, and the “Go” will have 16gb of flash memory, which can be expanded through the memory card slot. Sony will be beefing up its downloadable offerings for the PSP, and PSP games will be available to download through the PlayStation Store. “Gran Turismo” will help launch the new handheld, and releases on the same day.
