X-Men and Spider-Man Team Up in "X-Men" Book

After the X-Men's dealings with the undead, Marvel's merry mutants will be returning to their original home base in the east coast, specifically back to New York City which has drastically changed over the time the mutants started their journey west.

X-Men # 7 officially begins the new arc entitled "Serve and Protect" and will join the X-Men with Spider-Man...

Avengers and X-Men Team Up in X-Men To Serve and Protect

Former X-Force writer Chris Yost was interviewed for CBR regarding his new miniseries called X-Men: To Serve and Protect

One happy reader asked:

Chris, what is your new miniseries ("To Serve and Protect") about? Is it from a fresh pitch by you? Or was it something they came to you to write? It sounds a bit unspecific…

Kyle: It's something that I pitched to the X-office around a year and a half ago, but the timing wasn't right then because of some of the things they were planning. It's two characters that I love going out and saving the day, being big-time mutant super heroes. There's a little bit of mystery as to who they are, but it's really just part of the Heroic Age - the X-Men going out there and doing good.

Each issue is an anthology, but my story will be in each of the four issues. So it's an ongoing story in the anthology, but it's broken up along the four chapters. It's thirty-two pages over four issues. It's my first step back into X-universe after "Second Coming," and at some point in the near future, I should be making New X-Men fans happy.

Here are the covers for the first two issues...

Waitaminute. Just why is Iron Man taking a peek at Emma's booty?

Here's a closer look...

See!

Despite that, I'm picking this miniseries up when it comes out on my LCS.

Second Coming Teaser: One Will Die

Marvel just released a second teaser image for the next X-over, Second Coming. Apparently, an X-Man would die while trying to get Hope Summers.

So who's it going to be?

My money's on either Nightcrawler or Anole or we can probably see Hellion getting stabbed once more like a kebab courtesy of Lady Deathstrike.

But you know what, this whole death for the X-Men is something really stupid. It's getting old and uninteresting.

So who will lead? Magneto? Cyclops? or Emma Frost?

Life after Messiah War

Just came back from reading CBR's interview with the team of Yost and Kyle (writers for X-Force) and I must admit I am positively stumped.

With a new mini/ one shot entitled : X-Force: Sex and Violence starring Domino and Wolverine....

A lot of questions have also been raised regarding the status of New-X-Men Hellion and Surge (who was last seen in this series tied and to be used as dynamites.) Apprently now that those two know the existence of Cyclop's wetworks team, the hard choice of either joining or getting mind wiped is on the table.

And finally, WARPATH WILL FLY!!!!!!!!!

The Monthlies: Uncanny X-Men Preview

When last we checked with the merry mutants, the sisterhood leaves the X-Base with something belonging to Logan....

A lock of Jean's hair.

It's pretty obvious that this would be used to "revive" Maddie (AKA Red Queen)

Comics: 1985, X-Infernus # 3 and Batman

Some comic books that came out this week that I really really like.

Again, if you like what you see, buy the real thing okey? If not, PLEASE BUY A TRADE PAPER BACK....

X-Infernus # 3

(Will write a review about this on my multiply site....)

Colossus, Nightcrawler, Wolverine, Mercury, Rockslide and Pixie are in a mission to recover Peter's sister, Ilyanna from the clutches of Amanda Sefton.

Wolverine goes full berserker, and in this issue, SOMEBODY DIES. (Or atleast gets stabbed)

Batman # 868

(Written by Neil Gaiman and Andy Kubert)

Its Batman with a dash of Sandman the Endless.

Its so trippy yet good. Can't wait for Batman: Battle for the Cowl # 1

(Incidentally, Nightwing just ended this week. Its a dead giveaway that Dick will replace Bruce as the Batman... More on the that in the coming months.)

Marvel 1985 # 1

What if the Marvel Universe entered our own reality. What the hell would happen? Will the villains stick to an unwritten law or will they just kill for their petty gains?

This issue written by Mark Millar delves into that question. Plus according to some sources, there will be ties between this, Old Man Logan and Millar's Fantastic Four run.

Uncanny X-Men # 504

The continued saga of the Uncanny X-Men.

Things are getting loopier by the minute. Colossus is still longing for his girlfriend Kitty who went away with a bullet (yes. And we should blame Joss Whedon for that lovely incident) and encounters a man from his past.

Cyclops and Emma Frost sort out their difference with Emma finding out about Scott's "black box" inside his mind.

Beast and Angel (or Archangel) are in Buenos Aires to look for the man called "Dr. Nemesis". They are currently building this "Fringe Science Team" to help solve the M-Day case.

The issue ends with a little propaganda to move the story along.

Pick it up you yahoos!

Ultimatum # 1

Another Jeph Loeb book (which is kinda off nowadays)

Art is by David Finch.

Looks good, stories average, but the book did deliver its promise of tremendous deaths in this Universe. And I still have no idea why Magneto has Mjolnir at his feet. It should only be carried by Thor....

X-Men Manifest Destiny # 3

The continued anthology series right after Divided We Fall. The X-Men are finally in San Francisco. But what happens in between missions? My best pick amongst the stories that appeared on this issue was the Colossus story with art from Humberto Ramos.
