Barbie Dolls featuring Blake Lively as Carol Ferris

As part of Green Lantern's merchandising campaign even Barbie ties up with the emerald warrior in bringing the new audience into the world of DC's space opera.

Blake Lively who plays Carol Ferris will be turned into a barbie doll in her airforce one-piece suit.

This would seem like a good doll to give to your younger sister for either her birthday or when she's being too bratty again.

Its a cute complement for girls who loved Green Lantern

Easter Eggs from the Green Lantern Trailer

MTV Splash Page has provided several easter eggs we fanboys might have missed while watching the trailer for Green Lantern starring Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively and directed by Martin Campbell.

Star Sapphire Carol Ferris

The Star Sapphire insignia appear's in Carol Ferris/ Blake Lively's helmet in their flight scene. This might be a random easter egg or a vision of things to come for Gossip Girl main star...

FYI in the recent Green Lantern comic book by Geoff Johns, Carol just became the Queen of the Star Sapphires following the heroic sacrifice of the Star Sapphire queen, Queen Agapho.

Parallax and Hector Hammond

Based on the reflection of the eyes of Hector Hammond, it seems like the character will be dealing with the fear entity known as Parallax.

In the comic books, it is currently Hector Hammond who is playing host for the entity of avarice, Ophidian the tempter. Hammond also appeared in Geoff Johns' retconned origins of Green Lantern Hal Jordan in the story arc called "Secret Origins".

Green Lantern Action Figures From Mattel

You'd probably say that you've already got EVERY single Green Lantern-centric figure available in the market as well as exclusives from SDCC and DC Direct.

But then again, you'd have to say you DONT have all the action figures because theres a new wave coming out soon, specifically clustered towards Green Lantern characters. Heres the lowdown.

If I ever get my hands of this wave, this will officially be my first Kyle Rayner Green Lantern figure... I hope they come out with the new ION toy.

DAMMIT! Arkillo looks so fearsome. I wonder if they'll be following a Build-A-Figure scheme or he'll come out like a normal figure.

More after the cut...

Green Lantern # 56 Preview

What the hell is Larfleeze up to? Any is Saint Walker clutching the Orange Lantern Battery? And what's up with Hector Hammond? Oh and who's that black cloaked guy stealing all the entities anyway? Green Lantern # 56 up for a preview.

Ewww! The disgusting Hector Hammond is daydreaming again.

Whos the entity in Las Vegas? Was it Ophidian? Or was it Adara?

Artist Doug Mahnke definitely has gone a long way back from his Justice League Elite days. His art looks great every new issue that comes out!

Spoiler Review: Green Lantern # 50

The Geoff Johns helmed Blackest Night continues in the 50th issue of Green Lantern. When we last left of the power rangers, they all learn the identity of their newest recruits. As well as the zombie-infestation of the city with no fear, Coast City. Nekron together with the rest of the zombified Superman and other metahumans are getting ready for the final stage of the Blackest Night.

There are bickering amongst the new lanterns such as between Lex Luthor and Larfleeze.

In this issue alone, Hal Jordan (a) kisses Star Sapphire Carol Ferris (b) bickers with former mentor Sinestro over their rings' dubious selection of bearers (were looking at you Scarecrow and Lex) (c) Saves Ganthet and Sayd from the literal jaws of Black Lantern Crispus Allen / Spectre and (d) frees the Parallax entity from imprisonment and becomes Parallax once more.

The issue is a solid action issue and deliverrs quite a hefty character plot development. It's also great to see the interaction between the new Lanterns together with their mentors/ seniors such as Mera and Atrocitus. Mera's blood puking on her zombie baby was quite horrific but cool as well as the gibberish "discussion" between the Atom and Indigo (with Ray saying "bug eyed monster").

One time I was in a discussion with ComicKolektorPhilippines founder Tons about how Blackest Night would end and we had our solid idea on whats happening and how it will end. But seeing the recent developments mid-way, I must say we were stumped and dead wrong. We dont have any clue whatsoever on how this is going to end and I am thoroughly enjoying that fact.

Thank you Geoff Johns and company for this. And happy 50th issue Hal.

Blake Lively is Carol Ferris

Blake Lively (most known for TV’s Gossip Girl) has landed the role of Carol Ferris, according to Cinema Blend. Most comic fans know Carrol Ferris as Hal Jordan’s boss, love interest, and sometimes rival as Star Sapphire. I had heard Lively was on the top five, but I wasn’t sure she’d get the role because of her young age (note, she is only 22), but she must have done something to impress director Martin Campbell.

Sure, she’s a pretty blond, but I really don’t see this. Then again, I’m not a renowned movie director.

All is left, supposedly, is the casting of Hector Hammond and arch-nemesis Sinestro. ‘Rama readers, what do you think of this casting call?

JIM LEE Variant for Green Lantern # 50

I missed seeing Jim Lee's art. Whatever happened to All Star Batman and Robin?? I wish they could finish that before getting other projects.

I am proud to say that I'm actually one of the Batfans that appreciate and like ASBR unlike some awful awful internet trolls and comic book ingrates...
