Schism Teaser Shows Wolverine Battling Cyclops

Finally! The battle we've all been waiting for ever since Cyclops became the king of the last remaining mutants will unfold in the pages of the upcoming Schism...

WOLVERINE VERSUS CYCLOPS!

And it seems like the split will be good for the X-books... And according to the August 2011 solicits from Marvel Comics, the Hellfire Club will rear its evil, ugly head once more in the midst of all the trouble.

Whew, looks like aside from ASM's SPIDER ISLAND and the ongoing FEAR ITSELF books, we'll have more to chew with Jason Aaron's Schism.

Dark Wolverine: Stephen Segovia Loves the Philippines

Just re-reading the Dark Wolverine/ Punisher (Franken-Castle) crossover called "Punishment" and I noticed that the wildly popular "Three stars and a sun" shirt design made an appearance in the first act...

And aside from the gorgeous art of Stephen Segovia, the book also boasts of a brutal fight between the Dark Wolverine and Frank...

Daken: Dark Wolverine # 2

OK! Call me a good old fanboy here but it seems like this mini event is starting to stoke my interest.

According to dear follower Grifter, the new book will feature that inglorious bastard DakenAkihiro taking over the body of his dear old dad Wolverine. This stems out of the current "Punishment" arc running between Dark Wolverine & Franken-castle.

And while Daken Akihiro is causing so much trouble on Earth, Wolverine's soul has to deal with the souls of all the people he's sent to hell including Sabretooth and tons of pawns and soldiers.

Nice cover art by Mike Mayhew BTW.

Whats the Deal With Wolverine Going To Hell

It was pretty obvious that the Marvel's hype machine for Wolverine is moving the gears once more. Not only will Dark Wolverine reboot (starring Logan's wayward son Daken Akihiro) but we'll be seeing an X-23 ongoing courtesy of Marjorie Liu.

Just how many times do they have to reboot the Wolverine books? I mean I was pretty happy with the numbering system around the end of "Old Man Logan" and then they had to stop it and then restart it all over again and changing the Wolverine book into Dark Wolverine.

Despite all the inherent bitching about the topic I am happy about Wolverine having a sub-universe within the Marvel universe.
