Ander The Saya....

Ander the Saya is a common Filipino term meaning one hiding under the skirt (or saya) of the wife or girlfriend.

These are dudes that can not man up or is simple just overpowered by their wives or girlfriend's CHI or CHAKRA or whatever you want to call it.

There are a lot of things that people dont understand about the Andres Man or currently known as "Canadian" as in Saing-Canadian, Luto-Canadian and worst of all laba-Canadian. Andres' are all women loving men. As shown in multiple mediums over the years, the andres has evolved from the thin pansies married to women twice or even thrice their size into the so-called "Macho Andres".

These "Macho Andres" are the alpha males in society, well supposedly. I recently caught a movie entitled "Si Manager at si Kumander" starring the late Fernando Poe Jr. and his wife, Susan Roces. Manager played by FPJ is a police officer with the swagger of a gigollo (much like in real life), Dencio Padilla plays the role of Manager's sidekick, who often acts as look out whenever Manager goes on his nightly "midnight snack" with the ladies.

Enter Kumander brandishing a shotgun, lock stock and loaded. She knows where Manager is and she is in no mood to play games. (Pag sinabing uwi, uwi!)

And the film goes on and on, always FPJ making sure that he outsmarts Susan Roces.

That is the new Alpha male boys and girls. The tough guy who can beat even Chuck Norris himself, stave off millions of invading alien hordes from a parrallel universe. That is until he goes home to the missus and cooks dinner.

But you see, these guys just love their wives. Sure it could get messy, but in all certainty, it just shows that men think about their wives. It might just be comedy relief to the people outside of the Philippines.

I'm getting married soon (hopefully later rather than sooner) and if being called a "takuza" or "andres" or "canadian" would make my future wife feel happy, then I'd fricking gladly wear the takuza badge with pride and dignity (and hopefully with a couple of bottles of San Mig Light)...

And for the people who look down on the andres, fear not... Your time will come. Sooner or later, you will pass this stage. Just don't physically hurt your wife because that's really awful and just dead wrong.

Looking For Work...

Looking for work...

I quit my job. And this was because I had some issues with several people from work. It doesnt help that work also turns out into too much trouble.

I have to admit that I like the people that surrounds me. Some of them have even become more than friends I've really become attach with several of these guys.

It's just too bad that I had to sacrifice this friendship and friends for the sake of looking for a new comfortable job.

Neda: Why she rocked!

Neda Soltani, Iran's "Voice" was viciously gunned down during a public demonstration she attented together with her father. With the growing unrest that comes from the political disillusion by some of our Middle eastern friends, a beautiful and intelligent woman like her should not have died. I believe that it was a wrong move to gun down a prominent person because tactically, it makes them a martyr and with that strengthens the resolve of the people to fight back the oppression.

The same thing happened some 20 years back in my beloved Philippines. It was this time that Senator Benigno Aquino Jr. got out of a plane from his long exile in America (Boston I think). What was supposedly a peaceful entrance to the country was cut short after "Ninoy" not even reaching the recieving terminal was shot by unidentified snipers. This later led to a bloodless revolution which deposed Marcos and kicked his "cronies" in the ass. Big Time.

So going back to Neda, she rocks. Really rocks. What sucks about this is that it took her death before people even noticed what she was fighting for. Nobody needs to be martyred if not for worthless pathetic jerks that cling to old notions and useless traditions.

Like everybody, she had dreams and aspirations. She wanted to be a mother and was pretty much a good daughter. And because of a single bullet, she wont be able to follow her dreams.

Could be this the beginning of something bloody? I hope not.

Sucks to live in a world filled with hate and violence and intolerance and old world political agendas and beliefs.

What a headache Sprint is

Out of the blue, I decided to check the status of the very first company I represented. The U.S. Based communication firm Sprint. Well lo and behold. Apparently, their slowly going the way of the dodo; to add salt to the flesh wound, people really hate Sprint CSRs. I silently answer, who blames them.

One particular blog entry I read detailed in full account what happened to his account. How he suddenly get charged with over a thousand dollars and having a crappy, crappy phone. That person even went on to post a particular he got from the company itself that states that the contract with them is being terminated due to the multiple times that person called.

While reading this, I had this flashback of sorts of days when I was still employed with a certain contact center that used to handle Sprint (thank god, they parted ways. A close friend of mine still works there though.) It was terrible. Because of the amount of stress one had to encounter, it was really, really impossible not to get sick (OR pretend to get sick). Mind you after a particularly frustrating call, my blood pressure rose so high, I was feeling sick in the gut, and my head felt like two “Two Towers” trolls were banging it from both sides. To cut it short, I had to stay in the clinic for awhile. Well, not awhile, I checked in at 4 in the morning, slept through the whole ordeal and then woke up at 11 a.m. in the morning.

Sprint really rips people off. And even if a CSR wants to help out, it would be quite impossible with the system that they have them use. The training was lousy (I wiki’ed my way through training, never really paying attention to the trainer), the system was bad, the script was bad, EVERYTHING WAS BAD! Somedays I wasn’t even sure if I was working for a Sprint or for a helpline for the depressed, the poor, the downtrodden and the weird. Despite have a good feeling after a pleasant call, there are still more times that it really really sucked. I even handled a call once where this single mom, was asking me to reactivate her phone, but I really couldn’t do anything because the system doesn’t let me (although if I did have permission, I would reactive it quickly). After finding out that its impossible in my part, she begins ranting about how miserable life is and how Sprint even made is worse. She also told me that her husband took away their son and almost choked her to death. When I said, “I understand maam, I really do.” She shouted back, “No you don’t. Cause if you did, youd turn my phone back on.” I ran out of words after that and let her cry. At that point, I didn’t care about my AHT (Average Handle Time), I dropped the persona of a representative and became a person. That’s the least thing I could do for people who encounters problems.

A few weeks later, my contract ended. No renewal because that bitch of a team leader didn’t think I was cut out for the job. I felt sad but I was later happy that she did. At least I didn’t have to continue hearing those poor guys. I did wish that Sprint would crumble.

Apparently, I am getting my wish.

That’s karma for you Sprint. That’s karma…

Kaizer Says: THE BOYET FAJARDO INCIDENT....

I just found out that this designer dude/ette just made it in the news not because of his/her designs, or his/ her chic new outlook but because he/she humiliated a fellow Filipino in a Duty Free shop just this month.

I'd like to thank Mr. Ranara who pointed out the video to me...

So anyway going back, this is totally wrong. WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!

http://www.boyetfajardo.blogspot.com/

What's the point in blabbering that your a lot more powerful or much richer than the man next to you (or in this case, asking for another I.D.) It don't mean squat that your a "world reknowned fashion designer" it doesn't even matter if your the king of atlantis, what matters is how you deal with people and how you deal with very meager situations such as this.

And also prior to this incident, I haven't heard of this guy. Really. But because of this incident, man, this individual's got like a million followers now. All having a bone to pick with, and all of them disgusted by this persons actions.

Sabi nga nila, "MADALING MAGING TAO, MAHIRAP MAGPAKATAO."

[ As they say, It's easy to become a human being but its tough BEING HUMAN."]

I thank you.
